Using data obtained from individualized molecular testing, we read her disease at single-cell, spatial, and molecular resolution.

We translate the findings into a Report for her treating physician.

The physician integrates the characterization with their clinical judgment. The physician and patient decide what comes next.

When the case calls for it, we continue. We track her biology over time and share what we observe with her physician.

Contribute
With consent, her de-identified data builds a longitudinal dataset that has not existed in this field before.
What we do not do
Perita does not provide medical care or practice medicine. We do not prescribe or order tests. We do not direct clinical decisions. Any medical treatment related to a patient's care happens through clinical entities independent of Perita Bio, under their own professional responsibility.
We provide the doctor with the patient's disease biology. The doctor decides what to do with it.
Beyond the individual patient
Every consenting patient's data adds to a longitudinal, multi-omic endometriosis dataset that did not exist before Perita. Our characterization informs care today. The aggregated dataset is what we contribute to the field tomorrow.
Who we are
Raksha Shah, Founder and CEO
Three decades of operating experience across immuno-oncology and translational therapeutics in big pharma and biotech. Multiple early-stage biotech companies. Entrepreneur-in-residence at UC Irvine and UC San Diego. She founded Perita Bio after recognizing that endometriosis remained biologically under-characterized despite the advances that transformed other areas of precision medicine.

Perita Bio is supported by a scientific advisory board of leaders in endometriosis biology, precision molecular medicine, clinical and surgical practice, and regulatory and bioethics expertise. We are building this advisory carefully, with people whose work has substantively shaped the fields we draw from.
